Vibram Five Fingers KSO Trek Review
Vibram Five Fingers KSO Trek Review: "I bought my pair of Vibram FiveFingers KSO Trek about a year ago at Abbadabba's in Atlanta’s Little Five Points. They changed my life. That’s a strong statement, I know. But they really did. In fact, I can think of only a handful of purchases that have had as powerful an impact on my life as these shoes."

I Run Ultras.com
I Run Ultras.com: "The North County Trailway (and South County Trailway) are part of a rail-to-trails project that is supposed to eventually connect Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx to the Putnam County Trailway. Its name is a little deceiving as the 'trail' is actually a car-free bike path. The North County trailway is about 22.1 miles, running from the Putnam County border down to the Eastview section of southern Greenburgh where it meets the South County Trailway. The South County Trailway then extends 14.1 miles to Van Cortlandt Park."

Science of Running: Understanding Stride Rate and Stride Length
Science of Running: Understanding Stride Rate and Stride Length: "This simple equation is a staple in sprinting and biomechanics material. It simply means that to see a change in speed you’ve either got to increase the ground you cover (stride length) or increase your turnover (stride frequency) or some combination of the two. The bottom line is that something has to change. But what is it that changes when we go faster?"

barefoot running (idea)@Everything2.com
barefoot running (idea)@Everything2.com: "It is argued that running shoes are necessary for the health of the human foot if an individual is doing a great deal of running, yet at the same time history tells us a different story. There is now a growing tide of evidence that suggest that the modern running shoe may in fact be the 'Achilles heel' of most active runners."

Coping with being an unemployed runner | RunAddicts
Coping with being an unemployed runner | RunAddicts: "On January 6th 2011 I became a statistic. I joined the 7.8% of Canadians who are unemployed. I was completely caught off guard when I was told I was being let go due to lack of work. I took the news kind of hard, I was almost waiting for my former boss to say, “Gotcha! now get back to work.” But she never did.
I took my final paycheck and left her office."
