In 1999 Dr. Steven Robbins, a biomechanics expert at McGill University
Centre for studies in aging, released a study saying that expensive running
shoes aren’t worth the money, and can even increase your risk of injury.
Since that study there have been several others that have confirmed
Robbins findings and showed that thick-soled shoes doubled your risk
of injury over thin-soled shoes.
