"I'm not exactly petite, so I thought I couldn't run. And 18 months ago I couldn't," said the 40-year-old. "But I started training slowly, then I did a nine kilometre fun-run. Once I achieved that, I sat and watched people arriving after doing the half- marathon and I thought wouldn't that be amazing to run 21 kilometres."
