What is Speed Training - Chicago Area Runners Association: "Short Speed Repetitions - Repetitions of distances from 50 to 150 meters at a pace faster than your current 5k race pace.
Interval Training - Repetitions of distances from 200 to 400 meters at a pace that allows recovery to a hear rate of 120 beats per minute within 90 seconds between repetitions."
